About Effa Mseileb

Effa Mseileb (Bekaa, b. 1993) received her master’s degree in art from the Lebanese University, and she started experimenting with color in 2016. Effa’s abstract paintings reflect the notion of belonging through her dynamic and unyielding color palettes. It is through her quest to find a safe haven that she discovered a profound sense of belonging in nature. Effa’s artworks are a compilation of her fluctuating experiences during this time of searching for the essence of belonging. She resorts to the canvas as a pressing necessity for tranquility. Thus, the canvas is her instrument to release her restless thoughts and questions consuming her mind. Effa held two solo exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions in Lebanon.
