About Aram Jughian

In a style uniquely his own, Hakobian uses color combinations to create dreamlike windows, with oil on canvas, that are remotely comparable – albeit different – to the Orphist movement. His artworks vary across a spectrum of boldly expressionist landscapes to total abstraction, in which the forms become less and less associable with real objects, and more involved in evocative compositions that invite subjective interpretation. The thematic focus is often that of a dreamlike world that seems to exist outside of time, a form of escapism into the canvas that brings consolation, joy, and a clear sense of the fantastic.
