About Benoit Debbane

Benoit Debbane is a Lebanese painter, illustrator, and architect born in 1974. He began as a graffiti artist in Beirut in the 1990s and has since become known for his playful, sometimes provocative, and often abstract art. Debbane’s work is characterized by splashes of neon colors and irreverent doodles that explore the contradictions and absurdities of the world we live in. He has exhibited in solo shows at Art Lounge Beirut and Galerie Cheriff Tabet, and has also taught illustration at the Lebanese American University and digital art at ALBA. Despite facing health challenges and market saturation in Lebanon, Debbane continues to explore new horizons in the regional Arab and international art scenes.
