Mia Habis has been painting for as long as she can remember. For her, art is more than something she does: it is how she expresses herself, communicates, and shares her view of the world.
Born with Down syndrome, Mia brings her own perspective to every canvas. She paints not only what she sees, but what she feels. Each brushstroke is a celebration, and each painting is a conversation.
Mia finds inspiration all around her: in the warmth of the sun, flowers in bloom, and the happiness of being with the people she loves. She paints dreamlike landscapes, lively flowers, and abstract works filled with emotion.
She is drawn to warm, bright colors such as terracotta, golden yellow, soft coral, and deep plum. They remind her of sunsets, laughter, and the good things in life. When she paints, she feels free and alive.
Mia believes art should make people feel something. She hopes her paintings bring warmth, joy, or wonder to those who see them. Through her work, she shares a world full of color, possibility, and beauty. She believes art is for everyone, and if her work makes someone feel something good, she feels she has done her job.
Mia is grateful to everyone who takes the time to look at her work and support her journey as an artist. Every painting holds a piece of her heart, and she is thankful to share it with others. To purchase a painting or simply say hello, please get in touch. Mia would love to hear from you.
