Adham Al Dimashki

Lebanese, born 1990
Contemporary and Figurative

Through poetry and painting, Adham Al Dimashki finds himself on a constant quest to define the relationship between the present and the past. In a unique style that can best be described as a mix of abstraction and surrealism, Al Dimashki attempts to retrieve what has been lost or erased, or to grasp onto whatever remains. A constant investigation of memory – a fickle thing though it may be – perspires through Adham’s often dark, colorful canvases, taking us on a journey through a man’s mind, as he ruminates through the foggy corridors of his own recollections, as distant as they may now seem.
