Born in 1993, Aziza Ali is a Syrian visual artist whose creative journey is deeply shaped by identity, memory, and a profound connection to place. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus, graduating in the class of 2021.
Her academic foundation laid the groundwork for a versatile artistic practice. Aziza works across a range of techniques and mediums, including oil, acrylic, ink, and mixed media. With a strong command of academic drawing and contemporary approaches, she creates artworks that blend visual storytelling with emotional depth.
Aziza has participated in several notable exhibitions, including the Autumn and Spring Exhibitions organized by the Syrian Ministry of Culture, as well as student and graduate showcases at the Faculty of Fine Arts. Her work has also been featured at the Mustafa Ali Gallery in Damascus, and in a thematic exhibition centered on the city of Amti. Through these experiences, she has consistently demonstrated the ability to present her work thoughtfully in both solo and group settings.
In her own artistic philosophy, Aziza views art as more than a visual experience — it is a language of communication and reflection. Her work draws inspiration from the surrounding environment, the textures of memory, and the social and cultural shifts that define contemporary life. She believes that art serves as a space for dialogue, both inward and outward.
Aziza remains actively engaged with the local and Arab art scenes, continuously enriching her vision through exposure to new artistic movements and cultural initiatives, all while preserving her unique artistic voice.
