About Laure Ghorayeb
Laure Ghorayeb, born in 1931 in Deir al-Qamar, Lebanon, is a renowned Lebanese artist, poet, and art critic. Her work reflects a unique blend of childlike naivety and metaphysical perception, capturing the people and events of Lebanon’s history. Ghorayeb has exhibited extensively since 1966, showcasing her art in solo and group exhibitions across Lebanon, Europe, Asia, and the Arab world. She has collaborated with her son, Mazen Kerbaj, on three exhibitions and is represented by Galerie Janine Rubeiz. Her work can be found in prestigious collections, including the British Museum, Sursock Museum, and Fondation Saradar.
