Bachir Zeidan is a Lebanese architect and visual artist who has lived and worked in Porto, Luanda, and Beirut. His practice has been shaped by a sustained attention to structure, surface, and space — a way of seeing rooted in his years as an architect and deepened, over more than a decade of private work, into the body of paintings he presents today.
The current work is built around a signature process of accumulation — mark after mark applied across canvas and cotton paper until the surface is fully saturated. What emerges is discovered rather than directed. The work moves between what is built into memory and what remains unseen.
The works resist singular interpretation. What the one looking finds in them belongs to them alone.
