Contemporary and Neo-Expressionism

Dr Georges Rouhana is a Franco-Lebanese painter and self-taught neo-expressionist. His paintings feature nonconformist ideas and concepts, expressed through expressive and abstract strokes that allow the viewer to reflect. His signature style includes a red mouth, marked teeth, and hands sporting a luxury watch, which convey social contradictions, protest movements, and fear in today’s societies. Dr Georges Rouhana is part of the current Neo-expressionism movement, led by Basquiat and Keith Haring.
