Ghassan Haydar

Lebanese

Born in Lebanon, Ghassan Haydar, a contemporary artist (BA degree in fine arts-LAU,1996), is prominent for his keen attention to detail and the incorporation of intricate elements into his drawings and paintings. Each piece serves as evidence of his dedication to capturing the subtle intricacies of the world around us, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of texture, form, and symbolism.

He showcased his first solo exhibition ”REFLEXTIONS” in 2023 at Barrak Naamani Art Gallery, where he reflected his inner anger, stress and anxiety through his work. He had the privilege of contributing to the collective Art Exhibition, “Echoes of Expression” held in Rebirth Beirut in 2024.

Ghassan sees the potential for beauty in even the most chaotic or mundane aspects of life and inner self, believing that through his creative process, he can imbue meaning and significance into anything he chooses to depict.

His love for pens and ink extends to both paper and canvas, where he meticulously crafts his art with precision and dedication. While he occasionally incorporates color, it’s secondary to his devotion to the monochromatic world of black ink. Whether on paper or canvas, his commitment to his medium shines through in every stroke, capturing imaginations with his intricate and emotive creations.
