About Ghassan Haydar
Born in Lebanon, Ghassan Haydar (BA, Fine Arts, LAU, 1996) is a contemporary artist whose practice operates on the principle of Motus—the essential impulse and driving motion of the human spirit. Ghassan is renowned for his keen attention to detail and the incorporation of intricate elements into his drawings and paintings. Each piece is driven by an authentic, un-pre-planned flow of energy, where spontaneity and improvisation are prioritized over rigid concepts. Ghassan’s philosophy is rooted in a profound belief in finding beauty in the unfiltered—seeing the potential for form and aesthetic structure in even the most chaotic or mundane aspects of life and emotion. His art invites viewers to immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of texture, form, and symbolism, witnessing the elegant geometry of impulse made visible. Ghassan Haydar held his first solo exhibition in 2023 and took part in a group exhibition in 2024. Most recently, in 2025, he presented his second solo exhibition, titled “Motus.” This latest show highlights his growing skills and his focus on movement in his art.
