Philippe Farhat is a Lebanese contemporary artist whose multidisciplinary practice bridges painting, mixed media, and design. He graduated with a diploma in Interior Design from the Lebanese University in 2009 before earning a second diploma in Plastic Arts from the same institution in 2016.
Alongside his artistic practice, Farhat has built a career as both an educator and interior designer. He has taught students of diverse ages and backgrounds at several academies and currently teaches at Prunus Academy, CAMM Fashion Academy, and the Zouk Municipality. As an interior designer, he has completed more than 80 residential and commercial projects across Lebanon and Kuwait.
Farhat’s artistic practice is rooted in experimentation and personal expression. Refusing to be confined to a single medium, he employs a wide range of materials, selecting each according to the conceptual and emotional demands of the work. His compositions emerge from accumulated personal experiences and observations of society, offering thoughtful reflections on humanity through a distinctive contemporary visual language.
Since 2002, Farhat has participated in more than 25 collective exhibitions and has presented several solo exhibitions, including at Galerie Zaman, the Lebanese University, Beit al Hirafi, and Galerie Cheriff Tabet in 2022 and 2024. In 2023, his work was also exhibited in New York and Miami, further expanding his international presence.
Through his evolving body of work, Philippe Farhat continues to explore the relationship between material, memory, and human experience, establishing himself as a distinctive voice in the contemporary Lebanese art scene.
