About Charles Khoury

Through the juxtaposition of form and vivid color, Khoury dissects the chaotic components of the human psyche, from the most primal to the most aspirational, in acrylic on canvas. While Charles’s work does reveal an inspiration in cubism, his style remains uniquely his own. Within that personal expression, Khoury explores the violence and chaos of human relations, from the aggressivity of everyday interactions, to broader scale violence pertaining to the anguish of war. Brashly colorful geometric forms are employed to portray human emotion, representing that spectrum in a way that dances between the animalistic, the primitive, and the other-worldly.
