About Jamilee Doueihy

As a contemporary Lebanese painter, my art journey began amid the COVID19 pandemic. Working with the Red Cross, I wanted to engage in an activity to decrease stress and frustration. My curiosity led me to explore again my long-left childhood pencils and paint mediums, and I found myself very relieved by the creative process. Sharing this experience with others also transmitted this therapeutic effect of colors and communication and decreased the prevalent stress within the Lebanese context of not only myself, but others who enjoyed my paintings.
