About Maroun Hakim

Maroun El Hakim is a Lebanese artist who has been working in painting and sculpting for more than fifty years. He is known for his love for nature and his homeland, which are reflected in his artworks. He experiments with various textures and mediums, including acrylic, watercolor, oil, pastel, gouache, stone, marble, wood, and steel. Maroun is a founder and former president of various associations and syndicates related to plastic arts in Lebanon. He has also taught drawing and sculpting at different levels of education and has authored a book entitled “Rearview Mirrors.” His artworks have been exhibited in public and private locations in Lebanon and abroad.
