About Zena Assi
Zena Assi is a Lebanese artist who creates contemporary works exploring the relations and conflicts between the individual and their environment. Her work encompasses installation, drawing, etching, experimental animation, sculpture, and painting. Assi’s art addresses present-day issues such as migration and the relationship between memories and people on the move. Her work has been exhibited in solo and collective shows across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, and her pieces have been shown in international auction houses and are part of various public and private collections. She has won several awards, including the Sunny Dupree Family Award for a woman artist at the 2020 Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy in London.
