Contemporary, Impressionism, and Pop Art

Mohammad El Rawas was a Lebanese painter, sculptor, and printmaker. He experimented with various art forms and techniques, from impressionism to pop art, and used collage and solvent transfer techniques to incorporate existing images into his work. El Rawas’s compositions were layered with genres, styles, media, and references, creating an imaginary world that mirrors the absurdity of our own. He also created three-dimensional works that incorporated various materials, including metal, encaustic, balsa wood, and plastic.
